Meet our Co-pastors
Pastor James Lake, and his wife Cathy, have been married since 1977. They were both raised in Christian homes, and they met at Canton Baptist Temple where Pastor Lake was working with the Youth group. Pastor Lake graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, and he and Cathy were called by God in 1980 to move to Vermont and start Bible Baptist Church. They left Ohio and moved to Vermont with their 3 week old daughter, Rebekah, and 2 years later they had their second daughter, Elisabeth. Rebekah and her husband, Matthew, are working in a church in North Carolina, and Elisabeth is working at Bible Baptist Church, with her husband, Joshua. As senior co-pastor, Pastor Lake primarily works with the adults, including preaching most Sundays, and Bible study on Wednesday night. Pastor Lake and Cathy feel blessed to be used of God here in Central Vermont.
Pastor Josh Frost, and his wife Beth, have been married since 2003. Josh was saved at the age of 12, and Beth was saved at the age of 17. Josh attended Bible college in Virginia at Atlantic Baptist Bible College, and then finished his degree at Piedmont International University’s online program, and graduated in 2009. He and his wife were blessed with their daughter, Jazmyne, in 2012. Pastor Josh was called by the church as a Youth Pastor in 2008, and in 2013, the church voted for him to become co-pastor. His primary focus in the church right now is the Youth and Children’s ministries, including, but not limited to, the Youth Group, Master Clubs, Sunday School, and VBS. Both Josh and Beth were raised in Vermont, and they consider it a blessing and an honor to be working with the teenagers and children in this area.
